Coronation of Kings

My young Prince you are
Formidable in knowledge
As those who travelled far
Into dragon college

The lore which you invoke
Belongs to ancient Kings
Who at Time's dawn awoke;
Not man but Dragon Kings

For in days countless past
No human flesh roamed Earth
Until we came at last
On Golden Age's Birth

But speak now not of that
But rather of the Bed
Where Heavens duly spat
Creating Fountainhead

From this unearthly spring
Earliest dragons sprung
Singing; the Elders sing
Ringing; the Elders rung

In changes o'er the land
For dragons were made wise
With wing and scaled hand
To soar among the skies

And flourish on the ground
In cities made of stone
Mined jewels all around
Having no cause to groan

For it is truly said
That dragons were the Kings
Before man came to head
Before Elves forged the rings
