Isle of Wyrms Festival 2008
Come one come all to the Summer Festival held on the Isle of Wyrms over the 13th till the 22nd of July.
The Festival begins with a qualifier events for the fishing tournament, and then there is a Grand Opening Ceremony on Thursday night at 7pm SL time, with a speech from the current IoW Mayor and a concert from prominent SL musician and dragon enthusiast Cypress Rosewood.
The whole week will be underpinned by many ongoing small events and games, booths showcasing what the Dragon Isles are all about, as well as dragon rides and a Festival-long, charity Auction, where there is a dragon avatar and a seat on the Council of Wyrms up for grabs. These small events and games will fit neatly in between a multitude of carefully planned major events.
On Friday is the Kick-Off of the Isle of Wyrms Guild Treasure Hunt plus an opportunity to dunk various staff and elders. There will be many opportunities to party, with a Hatchling Cookie Dance at 12 noon, a Live concert by Jaggpro McCann at 2pm and an invite to the Elf Circle Friday night dance at Elven Glen Castle.
Saturday is a busy day, as well as the continuing events from the previous day the gand egg hunt kicks-off with many eggs hidden all around the isle. There will be an opportunity to "bounce" Eragon sim and the final of the Fishing Competition will be held at 12 noon in Hatchie Haven. Plus for the hatchies, there will be a Hatchie Egg Roll event at 6pm. Fan's of music and dancing will have a busy day, with live concerts by Jaynine Scarborough and PhoebeAnn Theas plus the Aquatic Dragon Dance and the Birthday Ball for the Isle founder, Daryth Kennedy.
Sunday dawns with the redemption of the Eggs from the Egg Hunt plus the results from the Charity auction. There will be another opportunity to dunk staff and Elders and to "bounce" Eragon. Fans of music are treated to a live concerts by Celtic Maiden Warrior and by The Maneki Teahouse Geika. There is also the chance to dance with the Mer Folk. The day closes with the results of the Guild Treasure Hunt, did anyone find the treasure?
The whole event concludes with two live broadcasts by Cypress Rosewood on Monday the 21st July and Tuesday 22nd July from the Temple of Bast.
In our continuing support of St. Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital , All proceeds, donations, and tips at the event are going towards Daryth's favorite charity.
