The Dragoness had began her day like any other. In the folds of the morning sun. She rose to the clouds to bask in its light. She was of hearty spirit. In days like these one cannot let the sorrows of the world overtake them. She let out a great rumble and flew ever faster around her borders.

She was troubled however with the events her elder gaurdian had given her. Long since those days of Tanese she worried of another wanting to destroy her and her kin. Though with the protection by the elder guardian she knew the sword was safe, but for how long? This plagued her in the back of her mind for centries. However it was a lovely day and she didnt wat to spoil it.

As the Dragoness was flying above her lands she was being watched by wandering eyes. Many flocked to the land to get a glympse of the mighty wyrm as she crossed over the mountains. Some say that she had power to heal the sick when the suns rays were covered by her shadow and uncovered again. This was the nature of the lands for many. Guardians were to be called daily: scouting and looking for trouble among the crowds. They were the peace makers after all.

On this day however noone noticed the eyes of a being not looking for healing or wonder. Nay his mission was something of a different scale. He looked around the crying sobering crowd looking for answers. His gaze clearly mapping the course of the Dragoness. This was his mission after all. Once the Dragoness passed he signaled another man and beckened him to draw near. This was his partner Navisk.

Navisk was a stout man in his mid years. His hair was tangled and messy while his face was fair and smooth. Neither ruged or clean he balanced this into his job. He was a master chameleon, always adapting to his environment. His was the way of the silent. His partner knew this and for this job needed all his skills.

The two men hurried away from the grounds and proceeded to a tent. Inside was written all kinds of notes. Some stacked neatly in one pile and some loosely in the other. As they settled in they jotted down the findings of the day. "Same Routine as before Navisk." said the other man. "I think we can leave now. The boss should have what he needs if not he can send others to get it. This place gives me nightmares. Besides I hate winged snakes." he replied hurriedly. Navisk nodded and he hurried to help his friend gather up and make haste out of harms way.

It would be days before they returned to their land. In that time they finalized the notes they carried. Discarding the rest by a fire deep in other lands. Noone knew or suspected the plan at hand. "Zantonith will be most pleased with us," said Navisk. "I expect a big reward or promotion out of this", said the other. As the two men made it back with dreams of valor, Zantonith had been merely waiting.

They reached the cave both sneering with delight. They reached the stairwell and went down the long darkened corridor. As they made it to the inner chambersthey were greeted by two gargoyles. As they neared the great stone doors the gargoyles spoke in uinsen."Speak the words to let you through or else perish where you stand," they replied. The two men spoke the password and was allowed entryway. The two stone doors opened suddenly and the two men entered. Once they walked passed the two stone doors they closed suddenly behind them. Sealing with a loud crash no other sound was heard.

They approached Zantonith eagerly awaiting his gifts. They knew he would be most pleased. As they came fourth they knealt down and bowed low. "Your humble servants have returned my lord. We bring with us the information you wanted us to collect," said Navisk. "These are the notes you require. We ask humble sire for a reward fitting for such a deed. We do not ask much but just a smile from our Lord," said the other man.

As the sorceror looked down with a cold gaze he trembled as he moved his lips to the side. He Saw the documents and bid his guards to collect them. Seeing that the master was pleased the two men bowed low once again. He gained possession of all the notes and sat idlely back in his chair. The two men stood up and looked up at Zantonith, As they smiled felt a cold rush come over them.

The two men who had stood were now slumped forward. The last sight they saw was the cold steel imbedded in their backs. The guards had slid the blades back and cut them down even further. Soon the floor was littered in blood and bone. The Necromancers at once took the spillings and gathered them up and hurried away. The guards to just cleaned their blades and stepped back to their positions.

"They only asked me to smile," said Zantonith. "Had they wanted something else I may have been more hesitant. ...Oh well they served the purpose they were given. Isnt that right Ashnew?" he said. . "Come," said Ashnew. We have many preparations to be made and not alot of time to do it. Lets look over these notes and find out our course of action," he said to his nephew

Many weeks went into plots and schemes. They went over all scenarios. Seeing that they are dealing with a god of sorts sought the aid of the demons of the underworld. Zantonith made the necessary ritual preparations and called forth the monsters of the deep. They told him of a way to capture the Dragoness. However for their services they required maidens of pure blood and men of evil deeds. Once they got their wish they were happily devulging the information sought after. With Zantonith pleased with the material he set the plans in motion. First however they needed to be rid of a major factor of what can spoil the plans. The elves he muttered we must control the elves. And when all was said and done he went to sleep
