There exists part of us that even society denies exists.. the part of us that hides in the shadows. In that part lives monsters. I call upon that part to come forth and be seen in the Sandbox!
 
In all hallows eve style, a Monster build contest will be held
 
 
L$3300 - Scariest
 
L$3300 - Most Creative
 
 
The Contest will be held between Sunday the 28th and Tuesday, the 30th.
 
Like the last build contest, you must build within a few rules,
 
 
* Build a Monster
 
* Use up to 50 Prims
 
* Build within a 10x10x30 meter space
 
* Up to three small, non laggy, special effects (fire, lightning, Poseballs)
 
* Follow Isle rules for content restrictions, (PG)
 
* Members of, Council of Wyrms, Council of Wyrm Hatchlings, Council of Wyrmlings, Isle of Wyrms Citizens and the HC can vote. You can vote once for Scariest and Once for Most Creative.
 
* All builds must be in by 11:59 PM PDT on Tuesday so equal voting can start
 
* Winners will be announced shortly after voting closes on the 31st at 11:59 PDT.
 
 
Look for the Orange rings in the Limbo Sandbox.

Golden Quill Poetry Competition

Eligibility: Any IoW Citizen Group Member

Requirements: Submit a poem with a theme of hedgehogs and/or dragons We will accept poems in any of the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese The poem must be PG. Offensive language or content will be disqualified.

Categories:

  • Haiku; Limerick; Short Poem; Long Poem
  • Either Free Verse or Rhyming

Photos to accompany poems are welcome but not required

Judging Criteria:

  • Theme
  • Creativity
  • Poetic Skill
  • Appropriateness for IOW publications

Each criterion will be judged on a 10 point scale

Prizes:

  • The golden quill trophy for first prize
  • Top 3 poems will be published in the IoW Herald
  • Each participant will receive a golden quill medal showing their participation
  • Top poems will get placed in the IoW Poetry Book!

Schedule:

  • Poems Due by: March 1st 2008
  • Winners Announced on: March 2nd 2008
