What's New

Announcing the Winter Festival

Now with running commentary of the principal events and happenings.

Come one come all to the Winter Festival held on the Isle of Wyrms over the 7th till 9th of December.

The Festival will music, dancing, bouncing and many competitions where dragon avatars may be won. The whole weekend will be underpinned by many ongoing small events and games, booths showcasing what the Dragon Isles are all about, as well as dragon rides.

In our continuing support of St. Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital , All proceeds, donations, and tips at the event are going towards Daryth's favourite charity.

Hatchie Haven Opens!

On Saturday the 27th October the much awaited Hatchie Haven sim opened it's doors. A noisy crowd of eager Wyrm Hatchling's had been camping at the entrance to the Marketplace awaiting the go. The massed Hatchling's soon descended on the sim to find the many secret treasures hidden in the Temple of Peng-Ra and to play on the many activities throughout the sim. It was reported that at one stage the sim hit the maximum avatar limit.

Hatchling's and their friends are now moving into the residences in the sim of which there are many different types. Please contact Aradia Aridian for details of the rentals.

October Goes Out With a Bang!

The End of October goes out with a plethora of Events being held on the Isle of Wyrms. This first event is the eagerly awaited grand opening of the Hatchie Haven sim on the 27th October.

The next event is the Monster Build Competition held from the 28th to the 31st October with two prizes of $3300 up for grabs for the Scariest and Most Creative monster avatars.

The 29th October is Dracolich Day, a day to celebrate the Dracolich as well as it's cousins, the Bone and Shadow. The Day kicks off with a special Drum Circle party at 11 am SLT and many ad-hoc events and happenings throughout the day.

The grand finale is the Halloween Party and Costume Contest in the Cathedral Inner Sanctum at 6pm SLT on the 31st October 2007. 6000L$ in prize money is available for the Best Original and Modified avatars.

THE ISLE OF WYRMS GOES MULTILINGUAL!

Isle of Wyrms Information is now available in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.

Thanks to the hard work of a number of volunteers, information notecards throughout the Isle have now been translated. These notecards include the descriptions of the dragons, general Isle information and details for the next hatching.

The notecards can be obtained from dispensers located in the Sandpit, Cathedral, the Guild dome in Tir na Lir or from any IoW Volunteer, Guide, Mentor or Guardian.

We would like to thank Jossy Joffe, Bizuniq Aabye, Ragitake Takakura, Ra Takakura, Kyrion Yalin, Lola Frederick, Arwed Rasmuson and Foxx Riederer for all their hard work and dedication.
