When wandering around the Dragon Isles there are places that give subtle hints as to the future of dragon-kind and there are helpful people eager to answer questions to the best of their knowledge. What follows here then is a fun exercise in guesswork about the future of the dragons and should not be taken as any kind of "official" announcement. All of these articles are collected together on the New Species Speculation page.

2007 Review

2007 was a busy and exciting year for the Dragon Isles. The Isles grew from Limbo and Lethe adding another residential sim, a set of four OS sims, and the eagerly awaited Hatchie Haven sim. With the addition of the OS Sims, the Isle was also connected to the Elven continent.

Our friends at Eragon also decided to join us, bringing along Imaldris and Eldamire.

In the community, events blossomed with both the Summer Festival and the Winter Festival being held in support of the St Tiggywinkles charity as well as many other activities including the Wyrmling Wrangle.

2007 ended with the Sandbox being now a IoW Citizens only build area and the community looking forward to another exciting year.

Adults Hatched

The Winter Solstice Release Event occurred on schedule, and passed without any major hitches. This is testament to the development work performed by many dedicated individuals that the registration system is now such a stable established system.

Wyvern Rumours

Rumours have abounded that a new wyvern may be about to escape the nest to fly into the brightness of day. This would be the first Wyverns release since the adults where released in March 07. If this should happen, the Artic and Desert Wyverns would also be released.

If we are truly lucky, there may be the possibility of a new dragon also later in the year. Keep your claws crossed for that one.
