When used in the context of Daryth Kennedy's dragons, the term Dragon Isles or simply Isles generally refers to the principal places of the dragons, either in context where they are called the Isle of Wyrms and the Valley of Wyrms or in a Second Life sense, where they are referred to by their sim names, Limbo and Lethe. Each sim that makes up the collective Isles has many unique and interesting places to visit:

Contents

The Cathedral (Cathedral)

Featuring a towering structure frequented by those who which to become a dragon, this is the place to go for your dragon avatar purchasing needs:

The Cathedral itself hangs on mighty chains from the caldera walls of an ancient, but undeniably active volcano. Under the Cathedral can be found several layers of catacombs including a fiendish maze, within which the occasional prize can be found. There are several entrances into the Catacombs which can be found via exploration.

In a sky dome high above the cathedral is the Drum Circle, at which regular parties are held.

Isle of Wyrms (Limbo)

A breathtaking, immersive environment full of old stone and semi-forgotten architecture bordered with snaking pathways, turbulent waterfalls and ancient trees the Isle showcases Daryth's imagination and talent. It is truly a place where dragons can roam and feel at home. Some of the major points of interest here are:

One of the most fun things to do on the Isle of Wyrms is to simply explore and discover the many semi-hidden areas and enjoy the ambiance of large dragons flying overhead and little ones scurrying on the ground below. See the Guide to Limbo for a walking tour around the sim.

Hatchie Haven (Hatchie Haven)

Hatchie Haven was created for Daryth's Wyrm Hatchling and Hedgehog avatars and their tiny friends to play, shop and live.

The sim features both mountainous peaks and deep valleys, lakes and forests. Paths snake between the hillsides leading to pirates coves and peaceful parks. Amongst the hills lie Ancient temples with many hidden wonders awaiting discovery by the brave and tiny Bikers rule the road.

Beware, Tinies rule here!!!

Hatchie Haven is partially residential with many different type of pre-built tiny houses available, check the Hatchie Haven Rentals page for details.

Valley of Wyrms (Lethe)

A largely residential sim, Lethe plays host for the apartments, castles and houses. If you wander around the sim you will see dazzling gemstones glittering under the light and great stone heads spewing forth waterfalls from the depths of the Border Mountain ranges. While many of the places and parcels are private residences there are still some interesting things to see.

  • Land Rentals are sometimes available in Lethe, check the Dragon Cave Rentals page for details.

Song of Wyrms (Lyre)

Also a residential sim. Here can be found the ships of pirate hatchlings, majestic castles, palaces and the Temple of Bast.

The Open Spaces Sims

The Open Spaces Sim provide a connection to the Elven lands to the east, as well as providing a residential and work area for some of the Isle of Wyrms' Guardians and Elders, the keepers of our lands.

The Open Spaces sims are those in which 4 sims run on the hardware usually given to one normal sim, thus each has about a quarter the capability of a normal sim. The main effect is that fewer people can gather on a sim before extreme lag sets in (the practical maximum is around 30).

Dragon Fire (Tir Infernis)

A land of sweeping hills and deep valleys. The perfect place to test your flying skills.

Tir Infernis is also home to the Lone Star Snails Ranch where you can purchase Riding Snails (all proceeds to St. Tiggywinkles) and has a fishing pier.

Tir Infernis provides a connection to the Elven lands to the east.

Dragonfrost (Tir Niva)

Mmajestic snow capped mountains sweep into the sky. At the top of a glacier is a magnificent domed structure and embedded in the mountain a cave of jewels. Sleeping on the top of the mountain is a great wyrm.

Tir Niva provides a connection the the Golden Wood sims and Eragon to the west.

Eternal Dragon (Tir na Nog)

A maze of rings surrounds a quiet residence.

Land of Clay (Tir na Cre)

The Land of Clay is a proposed Role-Play area.

Land of the West Wind (Tir Zephyrus)

A majestic building stands proudly in the shadow of the Cathedral mountain. In side the building are meeting spaces and a great hall where it is said that secret initiation ceremonies take place.

Sea Dragon (Tir na Lir)

Tir na Lir sweeps down from the high volcano into the sea. A bridge across the river joins a islet where a quiet and scenic enclave is located. This is the home to the Isle of Wyrms Guildhall. Giant mushrooms have been known to grow here.

See the Vistors Guide to Tir na Lir for a walking tour around the sim.
